Burrowing Owl

My wife and I had a wonderful time today roaming around Point Reyes. It was just one of those days and the wildlife was visibly active throughout the seashore. We were lucky enough to see 8 cats during the afternoon. Mostly at a distance as they aware of the Sunday traffic. Our day was punctuated by the sight of a beautiful litlle Burrowing Owl. I noticed him at a far distance and we were able to pull over and observe it. Wanting to get closer I got out and proceed to crawl across the ground without it seeing me. Luckily when it finally had me in its sight it did not take to air. Instead it was a bit curious and watched me watching him. A wonderful encounter which resulted in some fun photos. One or two photos will be available for prints at aussiewildphotography very soon.

Cheers
